The 2025 season of the NASCAR Mexico Series began with the first competition at the Super Óvalo Potosino, where Michael Dörrbecker made his debut with the Miji Team and the Codialub Team driving car #76. Despite expectations, Dörrbecker finished in 21st place in the overall standings, facing several challenges during the race.
Although he did not have the opportunity to test the body of his new car before the competition, Dörrbecker managed to qualify in 18th position on the starting grid. However, throughout the race, the driver had to deal with several yellow flags and mechanical problems that affected his car's performance, preventing him from maintaining his initial position.
The next competition is scheduled for March 23 at the Super Óvalo Chiapas in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Dörrbecker and his team are working on making several adjustments to car #76 to improve its performance in the upcoming races and thus have a more competitive car on the track.
In this first event, the victory went to Rubén García Jr., from the Canel's/Logitech G/Mobil team, in an exciting finish, followed by Xavi Razo in second place and Rubén Rovelo in third. The season's calendar will consist of 14 events that will take the drivers through various cities in Mexico.
